The poly acrylamide co diallyldimethylammonium chloride's CAS name is 2-Propen-1-aminium ,N, N-dimethyl-N-2-Propenyl- , chloride , polymer with 2-propenamide, and its CAS number is 26590-05-6.The molecular formula is (C8H16NCl)n(C3H5NO)n′.
This product serves as a coagulant for sludge regulation in urban sewage, industrial wastewater, and wastewater treatment systems. It is particularly suitable for the flocculation and dehydration of organic sludge suspensions and biodegradable sludge from raw sewage or processed sewage, as well as for the clarification treatment of various types of industrial wastewater, such as food processing wastewater and fermentation wastewater. In the papermaking industry, it can be used as a retention aid and for the dehydration of wastewater sludge containing fibers. It is used in mining and mineral processing to treat various mineral slurries. It is also utilized for oil-water separation, crude oil dehydration, and oily wastewater treatment in oilfields and refineries.

The poly acrylamide co diallyldimethylammonium chloride appears as a colorless to pale yellow liquid, with a specific gravity of approximately 1.02 g/cm³. It decomposes at around 150°C and is readily soluble in water with good stability. This product is a cationic monomer, dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride, copolymerized with a nonionic monomer, acrylamide. It possesses cationic properties, high molecular weight, and exhibits electrical neutrality and strong adsorption bridging effects.
